I'm a Brooklynite and New York City based fashion designer and artist. Here, I graduated from Parsons The New School for Design with a BFA in Fashion Design, class of '08, and have been fortunate to work for some of the top fashion brands including Haute Hippie, Club Monaco, Legs Media, Radcliffe Denim, Motorcycle Federation, and Express. I also pursue continuing education at the New York Academy of Art where I refine my love for figurative painting and color theory.
As for my creative and professional experience I refuse to limit myself creatively. I have a fun and charming accessory collection called iheartcrochet. These weightless crocheted charms are a combination of bold colors and unique designs with a mixture of sweetheart and flirty statements. I have showcased this line in both local and out-of-state festivals, markets and shows including The Art of Fashion, Artists & Fleas, Artists On The Brink and Chrysalis Vineyards, with credibility in Ouch! Magazine.
When I'm not designing or painting a wonderfully curvy nude, I'm most likely entertaining my brain cells with a great read about the subjects. I highly recommend the following reads: The Logic of Sensation by Gilles Deleuze, an in-depth, analytical study of Francis Bacon's paintings, and The Use of Pleasure by Michel Foucault, the instituation of morality, the self and sexuality in it's earliest forms.
I am constantly illustrating my passion as a disciplined and thriving artisan and designer in between drawing, painting, sewing and crocheting. Stay tuned! I'm always working on something new. ♥
